Puerto Banus / Marbella / Spain / 1985 / Robert Kelly Smithey

So, this is a photographic collage Blog not much story mostly pictures. First picture is the Boutique, you can see some of the dresses hanging on the lattice... I took them down with a long stick that had a hook .. There was a Chagall Painting on the wall pink marble floors cost nine thousand bucks the fitting room was teak wood .. The boy is Felipe his father is a big Spanish Marque and the 1st cousin of King Juan Carlos, his mother was Janice an American women with the best house in Gstaad, Switzerland who had been involved with Ahmet Ertegun. There is a picture of Adnan Khashoggi's yacht "Nabila".. more chic, I thought .. The Golf Course, where Bob Hope played Sean Connery at a big tournament etc .. The apartment was a third floor walk up .. two apartments made into one big apartment .. There were plants around the front door, had my family's 'Coat of Arms' on the wall in stone, as you go into the front door. The door was steel & wood with a knocker, a hand with a ball type thing in bronze. Also had two security gates to get to the top floor you had to unlock. It had a brown leather chesterfield sofa and two chairs, I found in Malaga. It had a Crystal murano Chandelier that I went to Venice, Italy to get cost $10,000 - I took the fireplace out of the front apartment. I put fabric on the walls with thick padding because the walls were not straight and paint was out of the question, that cost ten thousand bucks.. I took a wall out between the two apartments and the back bedroom became the dining room, mirrored that for the Miguel Berrocal art work display .. I had a party for the Classic TV show called 'The Love Boat' once. It was season 9 and they were in Marbella. I paid $40,000 for the back apartment in 1972 and rented the front apartment until I bought it for $60,000 a friend of mine loaned me the money out of her pocket, no interest!! I spent not sure how much to combine them and decorate .. The 'Olympics of 1992' busted the country .. It was just a big bluff, but, it was a beautiful show stopper. This apartment had a lot of gracious Europeans with big titles as its guest, like Habsburg/Aragon/Braganza/Borbon/Rothschilds/Bismarcks and less important titles .. I used to buy liquor by the case ..

Antonio Gades .........

So, in 1985 the most famous revered Spainsh flamenco dancer of all time (1936-2004) so handsome was this guy but don't think he was gay, anyway.. Antonio Esteve Rodenas / Antonio Gades was in Marbella, Spain the Puerto Banus he was on vacation from his many touring company shows and was looking for some fun .. I met him at a party that Jean Negulesco gave and we hit it off. He showed me some dance moves and I gave him a dinner party.. I had six people at my glass top dinner table and two more on the chesterfield brown leather sofa and one more on the chesterfield chair. I cleared the coffee table of books etc. I set up my Wedgewood china all around for the nine people. I put Antonio at the head of the table, I sat on the sofa .. I had hired a female French chef/cook and she made a leg of lamb, sliced the meat and put in garlic and did a cauliflower with a lovely bechamel white sauce, chocolate mousse etc.. She did all the shopping. It took her all day to make this dinner for nine people did the serving and wash-up, the whole French bit, I made her a special apron to wear, I wanted it just right.. Gades was a big deal.. I had two kitchens, because it was two apartments front to back. I was the bartender in the back kitchen ... So, after dinner and more wine and after dinner drinks, the entertainment was a fortune teller from Belgium. She was a palm reader, that I had flown down and put up in a hotel and paid to be there and she was the female head of my dinner table, anyway, she was expensive, the best in Europe. She had a tape recorder that she turned on and asked people to contact a dead person, from beyond, another dimension type thing and she did a palm reading **** So, she went around and with the recorder on talked to everyone.. Anyway, after she asked everyone she played back the tape recorder and there was only one strange sounding voice on it. A mans voice loud and clear. From the kitchen with the door only half closed we heard a plate drop and crash and break. My female expensive 'French Chef' Marie was washing up the dishes. So, she comes out of the kitchen white as a sheet and said it was her late husbands unmistakable voice, as clear as a bell, something in French about 'Forgive Me' !! .. Now, the 'Fortune Teller' didn't even ask 'HER' to conjure up a dead person. She was the expensive help a celebrity/chef.. We were all a little freaked out about it, she, was so distraught she had to go home early in a taxi couldn't even drive her own car .. We all had another drink and then Jean Negulesco and Antonio Cades told us about the time they made the movie in 1964 called 'The Pleasure Seekers' for 20th Century Fox. Also, about the time Antonio was the lead dancer at La Scala in Milan, Italy, in the 1960's. Antonio Gades was very anti-fascist and made a big deal about that. He was huge in Cuba and very left wing but, so was I, and he knew that! It was the height of the social season and my balcony sliding door was open and you could hear all the people walking/talking going to bars etc., from my third floor apartment and a paparazzi that I knew and liked was down by his car waiting. I invited him up to take some pictures... So, here is a picture of Antonio Gades .. Antonio was I think around 50 at the time ... the pictures were in a couple of magazines around Europe and then I bought it from my paparazzi friend. He was a hurricane of glamour. I was so glad I had him up for dinner and spend time with him. I bought the 'French Chef a well-chosen gift' .. I didn't want her to think it was some kind of a cruel trick, but, she never worked for me again !! Antonio had class not really born rich but a natural born dancer with a heart the size of Chicago .. :) Jean said that he was a fine actor with a capital A as well on the movie, and not just a Flamenco dancer .........

Taryn Stephanie Power ...

So, it was 1972 and Linda Christian said to me, I'm going to introduce you to my daughter's Taryn and Romina .. I can't really remember where it was I know it was in Marbella, Spain, I think she brought them into my old boutique on Orange Square in the old part of the Village.. I was 22 and so was Romina , Taryn was 19 .. my jaw dropped to the floor .. Linda laughed and said "see anything you like" !! I was hooked from the start.. tried to play it cool but that wasn't working so well. Anyway, Romina left for Italy the next day and met and married Italian rock star Al Bano and they became a big success, a very popular singing team in Italy/Germany and you would see them all the time on Spanish TV as well. Taryn stayed in Marbella. The girls had lived all over the world but grew up mostly in Spain and Italy .. I have so many stories I could tell but when Taryn turned 21 she was heiress to Tyrone Power money at least $300,000 bucks that was a lot back in those days, it was 1974. I had moved by then to the Puerto Banus to a much bigger boutique. So, she made eight films and one was "The Count of Monte Cristo" with Richard Chamberlain who she fell in love with and put my on the back burner so to speak.. Another one was in 1977 called "Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger" by then I was back in with her because, Richard Chamberlain was way more gay than me and I don't think anything like sex was happening. We flew to Hollywood several times once to a New Years Eve party that Harold Robbins gave in 1976 and another time after that when we stayed at the 'Old Bel Air' estate on Copa De Oro where she was born and Tyrone and Linda had a huge mansion.. they had sold it but the women that bought it let them use it whenever they wanted. It had a guest house and was fabulous. The view was Hollywood at your feet and the pool was like huge. Anyway we split after that and she married Norman Seeff and they had a photo studio on Sunset a little old house sandwiched in, it

was cute and he made some money doing album covers etc .. he was not good looking enough for her .. I hated him !! Then she had kids and after she did the movie "Tracks" in 1984 with Dennis Hopper, she married the son of Soupy Sales, Tony Sales who was in the band of David Bowie and she needed to find a place to live and asked me if I knew of anything in Hollywood. She wanted my bungalow on North Curson but I said this is not big enough for your family. So, my friend Elle Elliott had just bought a house on Orange Drive off of Melrose with a pool was three bedrooms two baths.. I called her up and we rented it to Taryn she was getting money from Norman for a kid they had and Tony was working. Anyway, I used to see a lot of her then because Elle Elliott was always on location doing a movie and asked me to keep an eye on it for her.. so Taryn would wear a towel and nothing else around when Tony was on the road kinda tease type thing and my niece would play with her kids when she came to visit me in Hollywood.. My mind went blank .. there is more but I can't remember it right now .. to be continued. So, Taryn never had the confidence to follow in her famous parents foot steps, like her big sister did, but she is a stunning beautiful woman and I have some wonderful memories of her and Linda ... .

Lita Milan Trujillo & Robert Kelly Smithey ..........

So, Lita was "The Lady in Red" you always hear about.. I first met Lita in Madrid, Spain and knew her from 1973 until 1993. She was the darling of the Madrid press after having inherited four hundred million dollars from the playboy/general "Ramfis" Trujillo son of the dictator of the Dominican Republic.. She told me all about meeting him at the Mocambo in Hollywood .. she was out with Zsa Zsa Gabor and the rest is history.. I loved her story about the press seeing her boarding the 350-foot yacht of Trujillo in San Pedro in California wearing a red dress and the tag stuck.. I learned later from Harold Robbins about her affairs with Steve McQueen "Never Love A Stranger" and Paul Newman "The Left Handed Gun" .. She was a bombshell. I was buying fabric at the House of Cadena in Madrid. I had a dinner date with Bastiano Bergese , he made his money selling fake penicillin during the second world war.. Lita was at the table next to ours, in a gorgeous garden, we sent over a bottle of champagne. The restaurant was called "31" Club, like not the "21" Club in New York. It was a grand place international cuisine many French specialities she joined us with her friends - and we had quite a party.. At one point her girl friend said, " I dare you to hit me with a pie " we were very drunk by then. The dessert trolly was there and we were having coffee and more after dinner drinks .. we were about ten people by then. Lita gives me a little giggle and picks one up. Throws it, and her friend ducks and it hits a rich banker at the table next to ours.. he was pissed off big time. A food fight started and we made a real mess of this place.. Thank God, we had the cousin of the King of Spain - at our table, and they let us go with a HUGE tip ... This was still Franco days .. but Lita knew Franco and with Carlos the cousin of the King -  he left the big tip and settled it with the owner of the restaurant...  She came to my lunch party in Marbella for Harold Robbins  she jetted down from Madrid for that and brought the photographers with her.. She came with the most famous bullfighter in Spain at the time. He took off his shirt and showed us his scars!!!

George H. W. Bush , Juan Romero & Robert Kelly Smithey ...

I can't define the terror, I felt. We left the White House of George H. W. Bush at Christmas time in 1992 in a black limo and a bargain had been struck.. I was lucky on this one because I didn't want to be in the 'Satanic Illuminati child molester group' .. Some of my friends pointed that out to me !! George H.W. Bush had lost to Clinton in one of those rigged system political vote scams. America and the world is so famous for. I had heard all the 'Conspiracy theory stories' and knew the Satanic Cult had fixed the election we talked about it in the car. It was nearly omnipotent, multi-generational and reached the highest levels of society from government to law enforcement you name it the secret depravity of the SATANISTS was stuff of legend. The Belgian Baroness Antonella von Cams was a high priestess in Europe and had one dead husband already, she said we were there to cheer up her friend/cult member George Bush, ostensibly but, in reality something much more dark was the reason for this visit from the Europeans. She was acting strange and for a cool sociopath like her, that is saying something. The next few days would be fraught with terror, for my friend Juan Romero, her, younger new husband.. Who himself had delusions of grandeur about power/control etc.. he wanted to be Illuminati like his wife and George! A 'Megalomaniac' we called him! I myself was going broke in Marbella, Spain my boutique in the Puerto Banus was in bad shape and she was buying me lunch every day and spending money, I should of said no to the trip to Washington D.C., but I didn't. My rich friends were always trying to get me involved with there secret society and if I had joined her, and them,  The Bush's dog pee was everywhere,  Creepy, two days after we returned to Marbella, Spain from Washington D.C. after the Romero's had bought black 501 jeans and white shirts to wear in first class back to Europe.. I was in the boutique, Puerto Banus in Marbella and talking with Don Jaime de Mora y Aragon, brother of the Queen of Belgium himself a high omnipotent secret society fellow who had stopped by for a drink, and was to die himself two years or so later, not sure about that as well.. When, I get a call from Baroness von Cams. She said to me that Juan Romero was just murdered. 

Adnan Khasoggi the Bush Front man and Reagan Fall guy was coming in the front door and had already heard about it.. Yes, the 'Satanic Cult' did show its ugly head again! It seems like my friends the 1% of the 1% were involved in so many evil exploits. This one hit me close to home because I really liked Juan and we were friends.. I took some pictures at the 'White House' and made a 'Homage' collage to Juan, poor fellow. The last two times I was at the 'White House' I forgot my camera !! When the Fords and then the Carters were there.. Juan's death was what they call a blood sacrifice, my intuition is pretty good and it usually kept me out of a lot of the 'Palace Intrigue'.. Satanists like Bush and the Queen of England who I met at the 'Ascot Horse Race' in 1985 are so creepy. When Obama comes on the TV, I cover my eyes, so not to get the EVIL backlash from him, what a thug monster, he turned out to be, and that wife going to Marbella in 2010 how telling was that trip ..

Robert Mosher & Robert Kelly Smithey ....

So, in the 1970's Robert 'Bob' Mosher the famous executive architect was retired living in Marbella, Spain he was a friend of mine. I think he was gay .. anyway he built a lot of Southern California in the 1950's and 60's .. I would of loved to see his residence in LaJolla he built it the year I was born in 1950 he also built 18 homes in LaJolla, California, with his partner Jim Drew .. he did Terry von Pantz house's - the first one in the village and the same house, floor plan wise !! More going west away from the development - he did the same infinity pool - The main house was like say 10,000 sq.ft. and another 6000 sq.ft. guest house both around a glass court yard. His house was very HUMANIST AND MODERNIST it was a big house in the hills overlooking the sea, it had massive huge stones, it was in the hills and it was made out of stone blocks that were natural and looked like they came from Montana or North Dakota .. I thought Frank Loyd Wright who he knew and he was his apprentice, said, something, about design of a house should be "Organic to the Environment" - this looked to me a little out of place in Spain the building material was not like the other white/red tile looking Spanish houses .. .. It was for sure his humanist/modernist thinking these huge big stone blocks going out to a point over the hill side, and it was big, lots of glass and steel, was a trip - I can tell you .. he was a cool guy - we talked about establishing a relationship to a building - in a complex!!! Wow !! .. X ... his partner was Roy Drew in Calfornia they must of made some big money he also told me about the sabbatical he took from architecture and worked for "House Beautiful" in the mid 1950's. His design philosophies was legendary, his art center in 1965 in San Diego and who can forget the beautiful and long and a masterpiece his ----- San Diego - Coronado Bridge - *** he came to my parties..
